He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barnes and Francis Barnes; and his siblings, Clayton, Ernest, Dermoth, Melita and Elizabeth.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Barnes (Matthews); his children, Todd, Paul (Sandi) and Brenda Clarke (Ed); his grandchildren, Jordan, Courtney, Hallie and Brady; his great grandchild Kingston; and his siblings, George and Barbara.
