With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Winston MacAskill (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 61. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Paul Winston MacAskill to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus Kenneth and Eliza Jane MacAskill (Butts); his siblings, Danny, Nayland, Mary Ahle, Sylvia Edmunds and Wanda; and his siblings-in-law, Dawn MacAskill, Margie MacAskill and Lorne Edmunds.
He is survived by: his close friend Jocelyn Osmond-Wall; his daughters, Samantha Kiziak (Devon), Alberta and Ashley Dartmouth (Dale O'Brien); his siblings, Roddie, Murray (Jeannette), Glenn, Terry (Corinna), Corrine Stubbert (Heckie), Melinda Mark (Jackie Henley) and Carrie (Tom Bond); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Ahle and Debby MacAskill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul endured some medical hardships in his recent years so we ask that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his memory to our local Alzheimer's Society (https://alzheimer.ca) or our local Cape Breton Cancer Treatment Centre to help others in the future.
