He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis James 'Jim Murphy and Annie Elizabeth; his brothers, Innis Carmen and Herbert 'Herb Hewlet; and his siblings-in-law, David Duncan MacDonald and Winnifred Christine.
He is survived by: his sister Marie Jeanette (David MacDonald); his children, Michael Munroe (Tracey Doucette) and Natalie Colleen (Chris Jones); his grandchildren, Jordon, Seamus, Liam, Eryn and Connor; his great grandchild Alayna; his godchildren, Claude Donovan and Allison Williams; his stepgranddaughter Kayla Robinson (Colin); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa; and his brother Herb.
Donations in Munroe's memory may be made to either St. John's Anglican Church, Ingonish United Church or the Ingonish Fire Department.
