It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Murphy (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Susan Matthews (Warren) and Llewellyn Matthews; her husband Cameron Murphy; her brothers, Arthur (Rhobena), Everett (Georgina), Lew (Laura), Les (Jean), Sam (Ruth), Robert, Russell (Mary), John (Viola), Hubert (Kay), Ern and Norm; and her cousin Mayme Bond.
She is survived by: her children, Glen Murphy (Lorie) of Sydney Mines, Suzanne Nicholson (Archie) of Sydney Mines, Colleen King (Chris) of Sydney Mines and Kerri Lynn Power (Chad) of Sydney Mines; her grandchildren, Courtney, Kyle, Aaron, Chelsey, Steven, Garrett, Erin, Sean, Maria, Liam and Kameron; her great grandchildren, Carter and Charlotte; her sister Marion of Crapaud, P. E. I.; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Matthews of Eastern Passage, N. S, Pauline Matthews and Guelph Ont. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to the Memorial Fund at Trinity Anglican Church.
