He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Wade and Annie Wade (Steele); his siblings, Beverly Sollazzo and Hughie Wade; and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Sollazzo and Elva Strickland (Roland).
He is survived by: his wife Beverly (Roper); his children, Dawn MacKinnon (Brian) and Tracey Cavanaugh (Michele); his nephew Jamie Sollazzo (Michelle); and his siblings-in-law, Elmer Roper (Sandra), Elaine MacKeigan (Allister) and Linda Wade. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home (635 Main St, Sydney Mines, NS B1V2Y4). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mike's memory may be made to the Northside Community Guest Home or the Alzheimer's Society of NS.
