It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Margaret MacNeil (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maurice Reashor and Theresa Reashor (Arsenault); her husband John MacNeil Jr.; her children, Garry MacNeil (Lisa), Joy McNeil (Michael), Judy LeBlanc (Danny) and Big Bras; her grandchildren, Krystal, Benjamin, Gabriel, Glen, Alisha, Shaelynn and Kayla; her father-in-law John MacNeil Sr.; her siblings, Yvonne Boudreau (Cletus), Beverly Keel (Larry), Debbie Fraser, Carol Jessome, Joe Reashor (Loretta), David Reashor (Diane), Brian Reashor (Sherry), Kevin Reashor (Linda) and Gerard Reashor (Vera); her brother-in-law Lewis MacNeil (Wanda); her son Paul "Glen" MacNeil; her mother-in-law Sadie MacNeil; her brothers, James and Wayne; and her siblings-in-law, Clayton Fraser, Jessome, Thomas MacNeil and Maureen MacNeil (Haley). She was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
