It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen MacKeigan (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 3, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Boudreau and Gertrude Boudreau (Gillis); her sister Yvonne Laidlaw; her nephews, Ray, Audie, Terrance and Joey; her niece Geralyn Reid; her brothers-in-law, Gordie, Eddie, Austin and Larry; and her parents-in-law, Gertrude and Murdock MacKeigan.

She is survived by: her husband David MacKeigan; her children, Joanne LeBlanc (Harvey), Vaughn MacKeigan (Marie) and Kara-Lee Jessome (Michael); her grandchildren, Adam, Courtney, Jean-Marc, Jennifer, Shawn, Ryan, Anna and Keigan; her great grandchildren, Abby, Liam, Logan and Jack; her sisters, Theresa Reid and Emma Reashore; and her siblings-in-law, Sandra Roper (Elmer), Bibsey MacKeigan and Warren MacKeigan (Patrica).

Donations in Ellen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, St. Joseph's Bras d'Or Cemetery or a charity of one's choice.
