Margie (Serroul) Bonnar Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie (Serroul) Bonnar (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Serroul and Kay Serroul (MacDonald); her husband Freeman Bonnar; her siblings, Jack, Joseph (Noonie), Tom, Robert and Rosie Barrasa; her parents-in-law, James and Elizabeth Bonnar; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Billard, Eddie Blanchard, Mike Hemmings and Shirley Serroul.

She is survived by: her daughter Mary Bonnar (Jake Rendell); her grandchildren, Stacy Billard (Jamie), Jamie Rendell (Michelle Basker) and Shaun Rendell (Cheryl); her great grandchildren, Abby, Max, Isabel, Madelyn and Callen; her siblings, Pat Serroul (Lenore), Leo Serroul (Eileen), Donnie Serroul (Kathy), Kay Ongo, Beverly Hemmings, Mona Bennett (Darryl) and Frances Britten (Ron); and her siblings-in-law, Frank Barrasa, Marlene Serroul, Carolyn Serroul and Brenda Billard. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Margie's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County.
