He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector MacRae and Sadie MacRae (Campbell); and his siblings, Donald (Donnie), Estelle, Claude and Betty.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce (Joyce), Dan (Donna), Baddeck Inlet and Cindy of Dawson Creek, BC.; his granddaughters, Cheryl MacRae, Heather MacRae, Melanie MacRae Sydney Mines (Glen Thompson), Michelle (Darren Thompson), Greta (David MacKinnon), Jennifer Duguay (Brad Riehl) of Cochrane, AB and Chelsea (David Goodland); his great grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel, Stephen, Zoe, Logan, Blake, Cameron, Liam, Georgia, Doris, Betty, Audrey and Jack; and also, Linda MacRae and Helen MacRae. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Donations may be made to Victoria County Memorial Hospital Foundation, Alderwood Working Council or an animal charity of choice.
