He was predeceased by: his parents, John Saunders and Helen Saunders (Sis Devoe); his siblings, Judy Young (Charlie), William James, John Kevin, Bernard Francis, Alex Louis and Ernie; his brothers-in-law, Rob "Bozo" Royal and Michael O'Toole; and his close friend Bernie Blinkhorn.
He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Potter (Robert J.), Rose MacRae of Sydney Mines, Matilda O'Toole of Alder Point and Bernadette "Goodie" Saunders of North Sydney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
