It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Powers (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Powers and Francis Powers (Doucette); his siblings, Mary, Jeanie, Josie, Stewart, Monty and Donnie; and his grandson William.

He is survived by: his former wife Claire; his children, Joe (April), Maynard (Pamela), Sean (Stephanie) and Suzanne (Earl); his pet Misty; his grandchildren, Christina, Dillon, Christopher, Dougie, Jericho, Blake, Sofia, Ava, Kayla, Damon and Bria; his great grandchildren, Aria, Peyton, Addison Sophia and Alexander; his siblings, Peggy Darlene (Frances), Heather (Mark) and Wayne (Joyce); and his stepchildren, Laurie, Jason and Angela. He is also survived by close friends, Dad.
