Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jean Atkinson (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 96, on April 10, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Maxwell and Carrie Maxwell (Wolstenholme); her daughters, Carol Bates (England) and Shirley Lisle (England); her grandchildren, Gary Lisle (England) and Julie Bates-Simpson (England); and her siblings, Barbara, Ester, Annie, Violet and Alex (Maxie).

She is survived by: her son David Atkinson (Cole Harbour); and her brother William Maxwell (Dartmouth). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
