He was predeceased by: his mother Sheila Laidlaw; his brothers, Terry and Paul Laidlaw; and his grandparents, Ernie, Mary Laidlaw, Bernie and James Evans.
He is survived by: his father James Laidlaw (Jim); his wife Joanne McKee; and his siblings, Don, Billy Laidlaw and Sheila Laidlaw (Steven). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jay's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
