It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ida Jackson (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Ingonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 4, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Jackson; her children, Stephen, Terry, Beverly, Sandford and Marion; and her parents, Sarah Rideout and Fred Rideout of Ingonish.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Usifer, Gerald Jackson (Marilyn), Jim Jackson (Sandra), Shirley Jackson, Bert Doucette and Georgina Donovan; and her grandchildren, Gary Doucette, Ken Doucette, Michelle Doucette, Mike Jackson, Terry Jackson, Steve Lawrence, Sue Beck, Sharon Tobin, David Usifer, Deb MacPherson, Danny Usifer, Trevor, Kevin Braunmiller, Tracey Warren, Kathy Braunmiller, Tyler, Brady Jackson and Brett Jackson. She is also survived by 31 Great-grandchildren and 7 Great-great grandchildren.
