He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen MacKinnon and Archie MacKinnon; his wife Hilda MacKinnon (LeBlanc); his sons, Donnie and Ron; and his siblings, Donald, Marguerite, Anne, Marie, Wilma, Maizie, Sally and Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Hector MacKinnon Jr. (Nancy), Marlene, Adrian, Danna, Archie (Gregory) and Scott (Sonya); his great grandchildren, Lillyanne, Andrew, Ryan, Chloe, Sophia, Olivia, Jake, Danilynn, Shelby-Lyn, Isabel, Hunter, Erica, Maddison, Augustus, Sinead, Micah and Sawyer; and his sisters, Dolsie, Sheila, Eileen and Maureen.
Any donations in his memory should be made to the Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines.
