It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hector Gillis (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Little Pond, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 21, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Hector Gillis; his wife Mellodee Aubrecht (Millie); his sister Violet; and his son-in-law Charles Mason. He is survived by: his parent Jane Gillis (Boutilier); his children, Shaun, Marie Elaine MacDougall (Allan) of Antigonish and Michael (Eleanor); his grandchildren, Michelle, Halifax and Sheena; and also Halifax.
