He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon and Myrtle; his siblings, Mary Kohler and Albert Hillier; and his great grandchild Jaileigh Kwok.

He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline Scott (Randy), Donald Hillier (Kim), Laura Lee and Lorraine; and his siblings, Carl (Donna) of North Sydney, Evan (Karen) of North Sydney, Cecil (Carol) of North Sydney, David (Debrah) of Bridgewater, Eric (Gisela) of Edmonton, Rollie (Laverne) of Prince George, Beverly Aucoin (Mark) of New Waterford, Marilyn Petipas (Casper) of Edmonton and Colleen Hillier of Manitoba. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
