Gordie Rose Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordie Rose (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 12, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Rose and Dorothy Rose (Groves); his grandparents, Augustus, Margaret Groves, Bertram and Grace Rose; his sister Doreen; and his brother-in-law Cyril Howatson.

He is survived by: his wife Florence (Blinkhorn); his sisters, Stella Howatson (Bruce Fraser), Linda (Rick Kendall), Sharon (Dale Murdock), Ellen (Ron MacSween) and Grace (Ron Miller); his siblings-in-law, Wanda (Chuck Bond), Sharon Matthews (David DeLazzer) and Bernie Blinkhorn (Debbie); his parents-in-law, Donna Blinkhorn (late Joe MacNeil) and Bernard Blinkhorn (Betty Cass); his nieces and nephews, Chris Howatson, Blair Howatson (Robin), Ricky Kendall (Brett), Natasha Kendall (Stephen), Janice Norman, Matthew Devoe (Barbie), Andrew Devoe, Brent MacSween (Jenna), Craig MacSween (Katie), Joshua Rose, Tiffany Rose, Jacob Blinkhorn (Crystal), Summer Almon (Eric), Paige Bond, Mason Matthews and Thomas Matthews; and his godchildren, Natasha Kendall, Paige Bond and Lily Blinkhorn. He is also survived by many great nieces & great nephews, special Aunts and Uncles and cousins.
