He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard McGean and Frances McGean (Hoskins); his significant other Leona Bennett; the mother of his child Bernetta MacIntyre; his stepson-in-law Wayne; his siblings, Kevin, Basil, Colleen and Brian; his nephew Kevin; and his brothers, Norman and Billy (Neila).

He is survived by: his children, Sorrows Pioneer Shrine, Leona and Gerard (Ellie); his stepdaughters, Kathy (Michael) and Margie; his grandchildren, Isabella, Adam, April (Francis) and Amy (Jimmy); his great grandchildren, Logan, Abigail, Emilee and Kallan; his siblings, Estelle, Heather, Rachel (Dave), Sharon and Jackie; and his sisters-in-law, Rayeanne and Maureen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cherished friends.
