He is survived by: his father Nelson Pero; his sisters, Catherine Pero (Graham Bonnar), Nicole MacDonald (Ron), Sarah Pero (Brad Young) and Fiancé Melissa MacAulay; and his daughter Lillian MacDonald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
