With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frederick Jude MacDonald of Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 17, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. MacDonald and Mary Rose MacDonald; and his siblings, Catherine, Helen, Charlie, John, Robert, Hughie and Stanley.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret MacDonald (MacLean); his children, F. Brian and Catherine; his stepchildren, Bob (Alissa Head) and Gina (Ohio); his grandchildren, Katelyn, Brianna, Makala, Brook-Lynn, MacKenzie, Sydney, Peyton, Quincy, Ryan and Colton; his great grandchildren, Kadrian, Isaac, Callum, Jackson and Julian; his brother Sault Ste (Marie); his daughter-in-law Leigh-Anne; his sister-in-law Dorothy MacDonald (Wasaga Beach); the mother of his children Anne MacDonald; and his friends, John Steele, Stan Clarke and Percy Dunphy.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to NS. Special Olympics, the Salvation Army or a charity of choice.
