With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Franciscus Maria Hendriksen (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelmima Hendriksen and Gerardus Hendriksen; his siblings, Nick (Ann), Carl (Meep), Jerry (Ann), Joep (Dora), Anthony (Gere), Wilhelmina Leenders (Jon), Wies and Theresa Hendriksen; and his son Johnny.
He is survived by: his wife Gweneth Hendriksen; his children, Anthony (Donna), Paul (Peggy) and Jacqueline (Scott); his grandchildren, Rachel, Nicholas (Alicia), Meredith, Lydia, Kristiaan and Isla Hendriksen; his stepgrandson Wade Rideout (Bethany); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ryker, Cullen and Willa Rideout.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Atlantic Burn Camp (https://www.canadahelps.org) a worthy organization whose annual firework display Frank enjoyed every year from his superb view across the lake.
