He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Confiant; his siblings, Dennis and Elaine; his nephew Jeffery; his great-niece Molly; his father-in-law Bobby; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny, Ernie and Rickey Carey.

He is survived by: his mother Louise Confiant (Roland); his wife Gloria Confiant (Carey); his son Gerry; his siblings, Laurie Howley (Gerard), Nancy Lightfoot (Ernie), Denise, Joanne Vickers (Cyril), Gina Carey (Billy), Lisa, Cynthia (Allen Fennell), Monique Wheeler (Rob), Mary Ann, Dave (Sandi), Richie and Vernon (Tracy); his godchildren, Mary Ann, Murray, Kenneth, Aimee, Dennis and Elaine; his mother-in-law Muriel Carey; and his siblings-in-law, Verna, Pammy, Rossie and Nancy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ernie Confiant will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. Covid 19 restrictions and proof of vaccine will be required at the funeral home and the church.
