It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doreen Latwaitis (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 11, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Rosario DiPersio; her husband John; her son David; and her siblings, Mary Latwaitis, Merino DiPersio, Hank DiPersio, Patrick DiPersio and Hector DiPersio.

She is survived by: her parent Secondina DiPersio; her daughters, Patricia Gillis (Steve) and Linda Davies; her siblings, Bruno DiPersio (Rose), Ida Lyle and Anne DiPersio; her grandchildren, Scott Gillis (Christa), Michael Gillis, Bhreagh Davies and Erin Davies; her great grandchild Isabel Gillis; and her sisters-in-law, Violet DiPersio and Bunny DiPersio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doreen's memory may be made to the Miner's Memorial Manor.
