He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen Campbell (Rogers); his children, Ryan (Terri Lynn) of Sydney Mines, North Sydney of Sydney Mines, Samantha (Aaron) of Sydney Mines and Shelley (Brandon) of Sydney Mines; his grandchildren, Bridget, Myla and Asher; his parents, Robert Campbell and Helen Campbell; his brothers, Ward (Lorraine), Sydney Mines and John (Cindy); his mother-in-law Bessie Rogers; his pet Sadie; his brother Stephen; and his father-in-law Gordon Rogers. He was also cherished by his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews.

Donations in Donald's memory may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center, or a charity of choice.
