Dewey King Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dewey King (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), born in Little Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 16, 2019 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John James (Jack) and Millie King; his siblings, Marguerite Quirk, Betty Mynruk, Bernadette Noble King, Lawrence King (Butch), John King (Sonny) and William King (Buddy); and his nephews, Alonzo March and Joey King.
He is survived by: his close friends, Danny White, Freddie Cantwell, Wayne Boudreau, Joe Reashor and George Rahey; his daughters, Joann Chopeck, Michelle Stewart and Angela Capstick MacNeil; his wife Sophie King; his daughter Mary MacNeil (Shaun); his sisters, Ann MacLennan (Wayne) and Helen March (Joe); his sister-in-law Verna King; and his brothers, Kevin King (Roseann) and Jimmy King. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations in Dewey's memory may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre in Sydney.
