He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex MacDonald (Punk) and Edna MacDonald (Rogers). He is survived by: his friends, Reed, Diane Dowling, Lawson and Albert; his wife Linda MacDonald (Young); his son Colin MacDonald (Cheryl); his grandson Ty; his daughter Tammy (Joe Ryan); his grandchildren, Brock and Anna; his sister Sandra MacLeod; his nieces, Katherine-Ann Brown (MacLeod), Denise (Alisha) and Jackie (Eddie); his nephew Art (Amy); his siblings-in-law, Christena Young, Peggy (Wayne Dedrick), Wilma Comeau (Shelly) and Joseph Young (Patricia); and also, Jean Ingraham (Don) and Roger MacDonald.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Regional Cancer Centre in Sydney.
