With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Burgess Havelock Penny (Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 20, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Jack Penny; his former wives, Alice Penny (MacDonald) and Catherine Penny (Beaton); his sons, Robert Jr. and Burgess Jr.; his grandson David; his sisters, Dot MacDougall, Jane Hannagan, Hilda Marsh, Joyce MacPhee, Emma Matthews and Mable Osmond; and also, Eva, Mabaline and Sam.

He is survived by: his parent Emma Penny (Clarke); his children, Patty Penny, Brenda McAdam (late Bill), Jean Penny (Jack), North Sydney, Alice Feit (Chicken), Sydney Mines and Jonathan of Edmonton; his stepdaughters, Georgina Burton (Blair) and Gloria Blinkhorn (Adrian); his siblings, Gerti Bonnar, Sydney Mines, Debbie Arsenault (Oscar), Lower Sackville, Steward Penny (Noreen), Ricky Penny (Laura) and Black Rock; and his siblings-in-law, Robert MacPhee (Jessie) and Eileen Keeping.
