He was predeceased by: his father Roddie Gillis; his pet Bun-Bun; and his brothers, Bill (Kaye) and Lawrence (Carol). He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie (Taylor); his stepson Patrick Taylor (Shawna); his grandchildren, Alica McCarvell (Taylor), Amanda Tingley (Taylor) and Adam Taylor; his great grandchild Benny Tingley; his siblings, Roddie (Clara), Bernie, Aldric LeBlanc (Bill), Vera (late Mick MacGillivray) and Belinda Gillis; his siblings-in-law, Ina Taylor (late Charlie), Tommy Taylor (Pauline), Margaret Rose Taylor, David Taylor, Violet Humby (Wylie) and Blair Taylor (Patsy); his niece Noelle Gillis; and his great-nephew Luke Cogan.
