He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Lean and Bernard Mac Lean; his wife Shirley; his children, Brian Mac Lean (Colleen), Sheldon and Frances (Pyke); his siblings, Mickey, Adrian and Audrey; his daughter Joan; and his grandson Christopher.

He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Mac Donald (James), Darlene Keeping, Sharon Lovell (Larry), Kathy Walker (Johnny), Brenda Boutilier (Hector), Valerie Smith (Tom) and Wanda Ehler (Evans); and his siblings, Eric, Clifford, Harvey and Evelyn Mac Lean.
