He was predeceased by: his parents, Colin Steele and Annie Mae Steele (Handley); and his siblings, Becky MacIntyre, Theresa Basker, Peggy Evans, Mae Forrest and Ronnie.

He is survived by: his wife Sheri (Fortune); his children, Courtney (Andrew Wallace), Mark, Jeremy Stanley and Kayla Williams; his stepson Dawson Taylor; his siblings, Carolyn Brown (Ernie), Kay MacIntyre (Johnny), Liz Nippard (Levi), Tanya Harris (Bill), Denise Evans (Aaron), Sandy (Arlene), Colin (Darlene), Eddie (Denise) and Dwayne Evans (Kelly); his brothers-in-law, Art MacIntyre, Martin Evans, Steven Fortune and Jason Fortune (Debbie); his mother-in-law Linda Fortune; and his nephews, Stephen MacIntyre, Bill and Nathan MacKinnon.

Due to Covid restrictions, seating in the church is limited.
