She was predeceased by: her parents, John Young and Beatrice Young (Jessome); her brother George Young; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Young and Raymond Bailey.

She is survived by: her husband Alexander (Alex); her daughters, Gina (Graham Boutilier) and Heather (Jamie MacLean); her granddaughters, Claire, Ella, Alexandra (Allie) and Nannie; her siblings, Daniel Young (Linda), Catherine Young, John Young (Judy), Nancy Young, Joanne Walsworth (Stephen Cole), Beatrice Bailey, Tom Young (Margaret Gray) and Lisa Courtney (Michael); and her caregivers, Dr. Joan Salah, Dr. Peter Poulos and Dr. Wissam Saliba.

In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made to the Cancer Care Unit or Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
