He was predeceased by: his parents, James Macumber and Ethel Macumber (Lake); his wife Celia (Laffin); his son Walter James; and his siblings, Henry, Leland, Samuel, Everett, Stafford, Parnell, Maynard, Izetta (McNamara), Elsie (Armstrong), Marjorie (Lynch) and Eva (McKinley).

He is survived by: his pet Tubbs; his children, Brenda (Keith) and Ivan (Shannon); his grandchildren, Christine (Shane), Barrett, Jason (Jill), Odessa (Alan), Colton (Debbie) and Tyson (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Sierra, Michael (Brianna), Kiana, Cohen, Kaiden, Jacob, Mary, Carter, Zoey, Janelle, Regan and Grayson; his siblings, Clayton (Lila) and Doreen Tucker; and his niece Joanne 'Josie' Beck.
