He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregory Hoare and Patricia Hoare (MacDonald); his daughter Heather; his grandson Brandon; and his brother Tommy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Doucette; his children, Patti Ann MacDonald, Angela Doucette (Kevin), Darlene Alexander (Stephen), Abercrombie and Tommy Hoare (April); and his siblings, Gregory (Kaaren), Peggy O'Brien, B. C., Rose Krishan (Hari), Patti Long (Francis), Brenda MacEachern (Dave) and Greenhill. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
