He was predeceased by: his father Walter Linthorne; his brothers, James (Bo), Bernie and Wallace; and his stepfather Eldred Geddes.
He is survived by: his parent Helen Linthorne Geddes (MacNeil); his wife Jean Linthorne (Matthews); his children, Michele Linthorne (Jeroen Kok) of Netherlands, Annette St (Todd), Nadine Symonds (Chris) of Quispamsis, NB and Joseph Linthorne (Jennifer) of Riverview, NB.; his grandchildren, Brittany, Nick, Brandon, Sebastian, Zachery and Devyn; his great grandchildren, Kai and Isla; and his siblings, Brian Bridgeville of Stellarton, Pete Bridgeville of Stellarton, Darrell Bridgeville (Connie) and Helen Doucette (Steven) of Hopewell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joe may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, or a charity of your choice.
