With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Penney of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Penney and Margaret Penney (MacDonald); his siblings, Mary Turner (Robert), Robert Penney and Francis Penney; and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Pretty, Jim Pretty and Melba Pretty.

He is survived by: his wife Karen (Pretty); his daughters, Donna Stevens (Tony), Charlene Penney and Annapolis Valley; his grandchildren, John, Damon, Jayden, Kelsey, Andrew and Ava; his great grandchild Devyn Lee; and his sisters-in-law, Hilda Pretty, Janice Kean, Doreen Robinson and Marlene McCool. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
