It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mahar (Stellarton, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 19, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent William Mahar; his wife Ada (MacIntosh); and also Joe Byrne. He is survived by: his parent Lena Mahar (Jerrior); his children, Alex (Rachel), Billy (Teresa), Carolanne Meyer (Bill), Frances Stewart (Ray) and Cathy Veenhuis (Marty); his grandchildren, Diane of Jason, Greg, Wade, Sonya, Michelle, Virginia, Gary, Lena of Travis, Justin, Michael, Robert, Kevin, Chelesa, Julie, Ryan, Eileen, Maria and Sarah; and his significant other Zoie.
Donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Palliative Care Unit Kitchen of the Aberdeen Hospital or to Elderdog Pictou County.
