She was predeceased by : her parents, Derk Jan and Hendrika Gerharda Heusinkveld (Bierman); her husband Gerrit; her daughter Innie Dykstra; and her siblings, Dien, Riek and Arie. She is survived by : her children, Henry Smees (Grace), John Smees (Nelly), Ria MacDonald and Eric Smees (Darlene); her grandchildren, Lisa, Brock, Rhonda, Nathan, Victoria, Travis, Jennifer, Amanda, Jeff, Ashley, Marcel, Angela, Kyle, Ariel, Noel, Kirsten, Brayden, Samantha, Bryden, Kevin, Janet, Trevor, Rebecca, Derek and Nichole; her son-in-law Walter Dykstra; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Ian, Clara, Sydney, Austin, Alana, Landon, Quinn, Hailey, Abi, Ava, Avery, Noah, Zachary, Kyle, Chloe, Lily, Silas and Jayla; and her brother Jan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a family visitation.
