She was predeceased by: her daughter Nancy Lee Hayes; her parents, Albert Cadwell and Freda Cadwell; and her siblings, Isabel, Sadie, Hazel and Buddy.
She is survived by: her husband James Emery Hayes; her children, Heidi Hayes of Stellarton and Harlin Hayes of Middle Sackville; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Kristian Hayes; her sisters, Elizabeth Baillie and Viola Price; and her close friend Alicia Tupper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
