He was predeceased by: his parent Dan; and his siblings, Norman, Edward and Beulah. He is survived by: his parent Ida (Fraser); his wife Jean (Hood); his children, Glenda MacLeod (John Basker), Bradford Mills (Kelly), Stellarton Mills, Randy Mills (Vanessa) and MacPherson Mills; his grandchildren, Andrew MacLeod, Tracey MacLeod, Cain Munroe, Trevor Munroe (Keneen), Bradford MacLeod, Moriah MacLeod, Eric MacLeod, Lauren MacLeod, Matthew MacLeod, Josie MacLeod and Morgan MacLeod; his siblings, Fraser MacLeod (Lorraine) and Janet Pauley of Pugwash; and also Stellarton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Alex may be made to the VON, Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital, or to a charity of one's choice.
