He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilton A. McNutt and Belle McNutt (Maddison). He is survived by: his wife Pippa McNutt (Miles); his sister Lynne Billings (Richard); his children, Thomas McNutt (Erin Pieterse) and Jessica Feith (Joey); and his grandchildren, Everett, Ollie, Caleb, Owen and Hannah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baptist Church (47 Church St, Springhill, NS B0M1X0).
