He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Laurie and Elaine Laurie (O'Rourke); his brothers, Peter and Douglas Jr.; and his aunt Virginia O'Rourke (Aguiar).

He is survived by: his son Tyler Laurie (Ty) of Springhill, NS; his siblings, Joey Laurie (Audrey Mattinson), Dawn Laurie of Georgetown, ON and Bobbi-Jo Henderson; and his aunts, Dawn Perino, Mary Lynn Cahill and Sharon Fisher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing are required while in the funeral home.
