He was predeceased by: his parents, Morley Roland and Grace Elizabeth Brown (Thompson); his significant other Candace; his son-in-law Bryan Mattix; his grandchildren, Meghan and Nathan Mattix; his sisters, Lurley Hayward and Audrey MacLeod (Thompson); and his brothers-in-law, Ken Thompson, Jack MacLeod and Allan Hayward.

He is survived by: his significant other Mom; his children, Rod Brown, Laura Brown, Candace Mattix and Angela Casey (Mike); his grandchildren, Amanda (Forrest), Erin, Elizabeth, Melanie (Fred), Ryan (Aleasha), Sarah, Chris (Sarah), Jill (Brayden), Brenna (Brandon) and Michael (Gabrielle); his great grandchildren, Quintin, Olivia, Jasey, Maryn, Eric, Emmalee, Ava, Anna, Tanner, Carter, Ryker, Sadie, Alice, Keith, Ryah, Seth, Jacxton, Oscar and Charlotte; his siblings-in-law, Keith Ward (Bev) and Marilyn Ward; and his uncle Ross Brown.
