She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter White and Elizabeth White (Melanson); her husband George Sterling; her stepchildren, David Sterling and Rose Sterling; her grandson Terry Canning; her siblings, Henry Babineau, Alma McKay and Louise Pettigrew; and her niece Shirley Tabor. She is also survived by her two children; George's children; all of her grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
