She was predeceased by: her parent Rita Melanson; her stepfather Rolland Harrison; her husband Alfred; and her siblings, Elizabeth "Libby" Kavalak and Thomas.
She is survived by: her niece Mary Simmons (Mike) of Pit Meadows, BC; her great-nephew Aaron; and her nephews, Jim Christopher of Five Islands and John Christopher (Katrina) of Fredericton, NB..
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the All Saints Anglican Church (92 Main St, Springhill, NS B0M1X0). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hillside Cemetery.
Donations in Dena's memory may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church, The Canadian Red Cross, Salvation Armey, or charity of choice.
