He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Cotton and Beulah Cotton (Weatherbee); and his siblings, Donald, Allison and Hazel Porter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Cotton (George) of Springhill, NS and Sharon Thurrott (Chris) of Moncton, NB; his grandchildren, Andrew Cotton, Emily Cotton, Kallie and Waylon Thurrott; and his siblings, John (Darlene) of Athol, NS, Roy (Dora), Doug (Peggy) of Athol, NS, Colin and Ethel Baxter of Athol, NS. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
