It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judith Ann Kavalak (Springhill, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Fillmore and Ruby Ripley (Herrett); her husband Tommy; her sister Shawna Ripley; her mother-in-law Edna Kavalak; her sister-in-law Audrey McLeod; and her nephew Sean McLeod.
She is survived by: her friends, Linda Brown, Shirley King, Helen Brennan, Carmella Vacon and Melissa Margeson; her son-in-law Ron; her granddaughter Keigan (Coley); her daughters, Marla Kavalak (Michelle) of Moncton, NB and Stacey St (Ron); her grandsons, Brody and Cole St. Peter; her brother Harvey Ripley; and her nephews, Scott and Chris McLeod.
Covid hit hard when she was isolated from her girls and living on her own; her Facebook friends kept her connected throughout the pandemic.
For those who wish to do so, donations in memory of Judy may be sent to a charity of your choice but in true Judy fashion we know she would love for people to donate to the Killan and Gabriel families in their time of need.
