She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Terris and Emily Terris (Light); her husband William Russell Hawker; and her brothers, Ron, Harold and Darrell "Denny".
She is survived by: her children, Anita McDermott (Layton) of Southampton, NS, Marilyn Mitchell (John), Russell of Springhill, NS, William (Toby) and Charles (Debbie); and her sister Karen Ann MacDonald (Bob) of Springhill, NS.. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
