He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Melanson and Rozie Melanson (Henwood); and his siblings, Mona, James and Fred.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Margo Stiles (George), Jerry Melanson (Sandy), Paul Melanson (Vro) and Wayne Melanson; his grandchildren, Sara, Katy, Emily, Hannah, Jonathan, Zoe, Jasmine and Ainsle; and his brother John Melanson of Moncton. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
