She was predeceased by: her parent Thomas "Tom"; her husband Cecil Colwell; and her son Tom. She is survived by: her parent Laura Williams (Matheson); her daughter Laura Hicks (Michael); her grandchildren, Jenny McMillan (Tim), Jayne Hicks (Stephen Chase), David Hicks (Amber Spulnick) and Mary Jean Colwell (Matthew Ward); her great grandchildren, Reilly, Angèle, Ainslea, Shaye, Rowan and Sophia; and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Colwell of Springhill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
